Egon Garstick ist Psychotherapeut ASP/SBAP, akad. grad. Sozialpädagoge, Psychoanalytiker PSZ. Lange Zeit arbeitete er als Psychotherapeut im Zürcher Stadtspital Triemli mit Jugendlichen sowie mit Eltern und Babys. Die in der Stiftung Mütterhilfe Zürich entwickelte Elternschaftstherapie und die sog. Vaterschaftsentwicklungshilfe betreibt er aktuell in der «Arche für Familien» des Vereins Arche Zürich. Supervisor in diversen Kinder- und Jugendpsychiatrischen Einrichtungen. Schwerpunkte seiner Fortbil-dungen sind die Themen Elternarbeit für Pädagogik und Psychotherapie, Frühe Kindheit, Adoleszenz und Interdisziplinäre Zusammenarbeit im Interesse einer gesunden bio-psycho-sozialen Entwicklung.
Egon Garstick is a psychotherapist (ASP, SBAP) and accredited graduate social pedagogue, psycho-analyst (PSZ). He worked for many years as a psychotherapist at the Zurich City Hospital, Triemli, with adolescents as well as with parents and babies. He currently runs parenthood therapy developed at the Mütterhilfe Zürich foundation, and the so-called fatherhood development support at the "Arche für Fam-ilien" (Ark for Families) of the Arche Zürich association. He supervises at various child and youth psy-chiatric institutions. His training focuses on parenting for education and psychotherapy, early childhood, adolescence, and interdisciplinary cooperation in the interest of healthy bio-psychosocial development.
Abstract
Transgenerative Weitergabe der Traumatisierung und des Zornes
Die Bindungskonferenz 2021 will sich dem Thema «Vererbte Wunden und Resilienz in Therapie, Bera-tung und Prävention» widmen. Die traumatischen Erfahrungen werdender Väter und die sich daraus ergebenden Herausforderungen für die Vaterschaft werden anhand von Fallbeispielen aus der «Vater-schaftsentwicklungshilfe» aufgezeigt. Die Entwicklung eines sicheren Bindungssystems und die ge-sunde bio-psycho-soziale Entwicklung des Kleinkindes brauchen das konstruktive Auffangen und Ver-arbeiten von traumatischen Erfahrungen der Väter, die sie als Säuglinge, Kleinkinder oder Jugendliche erlebt haben. Die vererbten Wunden sollen nicht die Entwicklung der guten Vater-Kind-Beziehung ge-fährden und auch nicht zu stressvollen Erfahrungen für die Mutter werden. Hierfür ist ein flexibles, fo-kussiertes therapeutisches Arbeiten nötig.
Transgenerational Transmission of Trauma and Rage
The main subject of the Attachment Conference 2021 will be "Inherited Wounds and Resilience in Psy-chotherapy, Counseling, and Prevention“. The traumatic experiences of "fathers-to-be“ and the resulting challenges for fatherhood will be shown on the basis of case studies of the so called "fatherhood-devel-opment-aid." The development of a secure attachment-system und healthy biopsychosocial develop-ment of the infant calls for the constructive containment and treatment of traumatic experiences of fa-thers from their own infancy to adolescence.. The inherited wounds may otherwise endanger the devel-opment of a healthy father-child relationship and lead to stress in the mother. Focused and flexible therapeutic intervention is thus indicated.
